Community guidelines

We want Fam to be a community that is safe and respectful for everyone. We’ve created these Community Guidelines to set rules about how you may use FAM and what we expect of you.

If you see that a user has violated these Community Guidelines, please let us know immediately by emailing support@famapp.com. All determinations as to violation of these Community Guidelines are within our sole and absolute discretion. It isn’t possible to address every possible type of prohibited activity in these Community Guidelines, so please use common sense and use them as a general guide for all of your activity on Fam. Thanks for doing your part!

Illegal or dangerous activities

We prohibit engaging in or promoting any illegal activities on Fam – such as acts of physical harm, human exploitation or trafficking, sale or transfer of illegal goods, contraband, controlled substances, and counterfeit goods.

We prohibit any depiction of illegal activities and information or instructions about how to engage in illegal activities.

We don’t allow content that promotes or encourages dangerous acts or behavior.

Your identity

Do not impersonate others, or be misleading or deceitful about your identify.

Do not post fake pictures.

Do not post a fake age or fake birthday.

Sexually explicit content

We don’t allow sexual exploitation, pornographic content, content relating to non-consensual sexual acts, or child sexual exploitation of any kind.

Harassment and bullying

We have a no tolerance policy for bullying and harassment.

If another user does not want to communicate with you, or blocks you, do not try to communicate with that person, including from another Fam account.

We don’t allow threats of any kind, including threats against anyone or anyone’s property.

We don’t allow promotion of harassment of anyone.

Do not disparage anyone on Fam.

Privacy of others

Respect the privacy of others.

Never use photos or videos of others that you do not have permission to use.

Do not include anyone in your photos or video calls who does not want to be in them, or who has not given you permission to do so.

Self-harm

We don’t allow encouragement, inducement, or glorification of self-harm or self-injury, such as suicide, eating disorders, or self-inflicted physical harm.

Terrorism and hate speech

We don’t allow use of Fam by terrorist organizations.

We don’t allow threats, encouragement, promotion, or glorification of terrorism or terrorist acts.

We prohibit all forms of hate speech and any content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or dehumanizes an individual or a group of individuals on the basis of protected attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender or disability.
